Oil-based suspension

Each 10ml vial of Testosterone Cypionate contains 2500 mg of the active ingredient.
Each 1ml ampoule contains one 250mg dose.

Formula:

Testosterone Cypionate 250mg
Vehicles: Grape Seed Oil CS, Benzyl Alcohol 2% and Benzyl Benzoate 15%

Pharmacological action
(pharmacodynamics)

Testosterone cypionate is a slow-acting injectable androgen called testosterone. After administration, it provides sustained delivery of the active ingredient into the bloodstream for approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

Directions:

Testosterone cypionate is indicated to replace normal testosterone levels in adult males with low androgen levels. It can also be used to treat undescended testes and delayed puberty in adolescent males.

Interactions with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction:

  • Oral anticoagulants: Testosterone and its derivatives increase the activity of coumarin-derived oral anticoagulants. People on anticoagulant therapy will require close monitoring while using testosterone.

  • Other interactions:
Concomitant administration of testosterone with ACTH or corticosteroids may promote the formation of edema. These active ingredients should be administered with caution in individuals with liver or heart disease or a predisposition to edema.
Interaction with laboratory tests: Androgens may decrease thyroxine-binding globulin levels, decreasing total serum T4 levels and increasing T3 and T4 resin uptake. However, thyroid hormone levels will remain unchanged, and there will be no clinical evidence of thyroid dysfunction.

  • Fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding

  • Testosterone replacement therapy can reversibly reduce spermatogenesis.

  • Testosterone is not indicated for use in women and should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Adverse reactions:

The most frequently reported adverse reactions during testosterone treatment are acne and injection site pain. Suspected anaphylactic reactions have been reported following testosterone
injections . Androgens may accelerate the progression of subclinical prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Overdose:

In case of overdose, no special therapeutic measures are necessary, except to discontinue treatment with the drug or reduce the dose.

Incompatibility :

In the absence of compatibility studies, this medicinal product should not be mixed with other medicinal products.

Special precautions for disposal and other handling:

Testosterone Cypionate  250 mg/ml is a sterile, supersaturated solution composed of GSO, benzyl alcohol, and benzyl benzoate. The high concentrations of active ingredients make the product highly susceptible to crystallization when exposed to temperatures below the recommended range (20°C to 25°C or 68°F to 77°F) or high atmospheric pressures.

  • The product can be heated and mixed to reconstitute the active component, if necessary.

  • Perform the procedure slowly, immersing the still-sealed vial in hot water, never over direct heat, until the product dissolves again.

  • Bring the medication to a temperature below 35°C for application.

NOTE: Crystallization and heat exposure have no impact on the efficacy, quality or safety of the product if done properly.

At cold storage temperatures or high pressure, the properties of this oil-based solution may temporarily change (e.g., increased viscosity, cloudiness, or crystallization). If stored at cold temperatures, the product should be brought to room or body temperature before use.
The medicinal product is for single use only; any unused solution should be discarded. Dispose of any unused medicinal product and all materials that have come into contact with it in accordance with local requirements.
